Soccer Expert Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game victorious run was ended by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' new record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.

"I won't force football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their attack is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's sole away victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was previously that team's coach.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season started, but they have surprised a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.

My son told me to get Brentford striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's team pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be quite close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six games.

They have have plenty of talent in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the end of October.

However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's home form, the sole team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
