Wardley will be 31 in December, and he said: “It is a massive night for the both of us. It is clearly the most significant bout of my boxing journey and the greatest challenge I've faced. But each time I rise to the occasion I rise to the occasion. Saturday will be no different. The divide between where Joe is and what others believe about me has been a common theme in my boxing life.

“He's a seasoned veteran for a long time, with a many bouts on his record. In no way is he an senior boxer but he has been in the boxing world for a while and had several tough bouts. I too have faced intense battles and I know they put miles on the clock. He has been in a far greater number of those than me.”

The Ultimate Prediction

But the lingering doubt persists that Parker is likely to be too seasoned, and too technically proficient, for Wardley. He is favored to secure a grueling encounter with the belief that he is the leading contender for Usyk – the undisputed best in the division by a significant margin.
