The combatants are exulting in a mass killing that relief organizations believe claimed the lives of over 2,000 civilians in the Sudanese metropolis of the Darfur city in recent weeks.

A City Cut Off from the World

After maintaining the community under encirclement for almost 24 months, from late summer the paramilitary force advanced to strengthen its control and blockade the remaining residents.

Space-based imagery demonstrate that forces started to erect a massive sand wall - a built-up sand barrier - encircling the edges of al-Fashir, closing access routes and preventing relief supplies.

During the encirclement intensified, multiple individuals were murdered in an RSF attack on a place of worship on mid-September, while the UN stated dozens additional were murdered in drone and heavy weapon bombardments on a displacement camp in October.

Graphic Recording Reveals Unarmed Individuals Shot

In the early morning on late October the paramilitary force overwhelmed the remaining government strongholds and took control of the central headquarters in the city, the main facility of the Army Division, as the army withdrew.

Among the most horrific videos to surface and examined depicted the aftermath of a massacre at a educational facility on the west of the community, where dozens dead bodies were observed spread over the floor.

An older man dressed in a robe remained alone amid the corpses. The individual looked to gaze as a combatant armed with a rifle walked down the staircase facing the individual. pointing his rifle, the gunman discharged a single shot at the victim, who dropped to the surface still.

Regardless of the digital campaign being used by the RSF, their activities in al-Fashir have sparked international outrage.
